How it works
We do the work. You check it.
Most firms put a new website off because they picture weeks of meetings, drafts and decisions, and a real chance of ending up with something worse than they started with. That is not how this goes.
We write it and build it. You tell us what is wrong, twice. Everything below sets out exactly what happens and which parts need you — there are two of them.
Your part, in full
- Tell us what the firm does
- Once
- Read it and correct it
- Twice
- Everything else
- Ours
The free review
Before anything is agreed and before any money changes hands, we go through the site you have against a written list of 69 checks and send you the six problems worth fixing first. Most firms find that enough on its own, and that is a perfectly good outcome.
What we need from you
This is the part that decides how quickly everything else moves, and it is the only part we cannot do without you. Nothing here has to be polished — a rough answer is more useful than a considered one that arrives three weeks later.
- Which practice areas you actually want to be instructed on
- A name and a line or two about each attorney
- Your logo, if you have one worth keeping
- Who signs things off, and who does not need to be asked
We draft and design it
We write the pages and design the site around how the firm actually takes work in. You are not asked to supply copy, review wireframes, or sit in a workshop. If you would rather write your own pages, that is fine and it makes this part shorter.
You correct it
You read it and tell us what is wrong. Attorneys are good at this and it is the part where the site actually becomes yours. Two rounds of changes are included in the price. After that it is R650 an hour, agreed in writing before any of it is spent.
Launch
Nothing goes live until the enquiry form has been submitted and received, the old addresses redirect to the new ones, and you have seen the finished site. The domain is already in the firm’s name and has been since the first day.
- Every form submitted and received before launch
- Redirects mapped and tested from the old addresses
- The POPIA page written for the site you actually have
- You see it and approve it before it goes live
The week after, and every week after that
The care plan starts on launch day. We check the form, the links, the loading speed and your position in search every week, make the changes you email us the same working day, and send one page at the end of the month. Once a year the site gets the same 69-check review we ran at the beginning.
What this is not
Four things that will not happen.
- There are no workshops
- No discovery session, no brand exercise, no meeting to agree the meeting. One conversation, then we write and you correct.
- You will not be asked to choose between three designs
- You are paying for a judgement, not for a vote. If the judgement is wrong you say so and it changes.
- Nothing goes live that you have not seen
- And nothing is quietly changed afterwards. Every change on a care plan is one you asked for.
- If we are the wrong people we will say so
- Thirteen attorneys or more, a practice outside South Africa, or work that is really a brand project rather than a website. We will point you somewhere better.
It starts with a review, not a meeting.
Send your firm’s web address. We go through the site against a written list of 69 checks and email you the six problems worth fixing first, each in one sentence, with what we measured. It lands within two working days, it costs nothing, and we do not telephone you afterwards.
